The most ambitious discography of all time
- Documenting every master recording from the company that dominated recorded music in the United States before World War II, the Encyclopedic Discography of Victor Recordings (EDVR) is the most expansive and sophisticated discography on the internet. Eventually including all Victor releases from 1900 through 1950, the site allows users to search for specific information about a recording, artist, or disc, or to browse through the holdings to discover interesting new information about a bygone era.
- A solution designed to work equally well internally and externally
- Collaborating with a team of researchers from the University of California, Properly Sorted was involved from the ground up, first providing a FileMaker-based solution that allowed researchers to enter and edit the data, and then creating a fully-featured website for collectors, libraries, and the public around the world to which functionality is continually being added. Properly Sorted also designed EDVR's logo and user interface.
